Life is a two-faced spirit
That looks at tomorrow and now at the same time;
Our destiny is a journey to God’s doorstep
Our legacy is what of love that we leave behind
Oh, but it’s not ever abandoned
So, you will never know what “Alone” is
You have been always anticipated,
And you will be ushered in and celebrated;
Welcomed by a thousand smiles, and a flood of joyful tears;
You will have Angels for Aunties and a Dragon for an Uncle
And as you grow up, you’ll confirm for those who love you
That humans are never grateful enough;
But that will never stop them from giving you
Pieces of their own selves and Pieces of their own dreams
So that you can learn to not need them
And after everyone who has protected and propelled you into life
has moved on to their own journey’s end
You will become proof of them
The echo of their hearts
The melody of their smiles
You will be the best thing they have ever done
And won’t it be a most beautiful thing,
When you find your very own song to sing!
